The International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) is a globally recognised standard, playing a pivotal role in promoting sustainable practices, protecting the environment, and fostering responsible supply chains on a global scale. The audit, conducted once a year by an independent third party, evaluates the compliance with ISCC standards. It examines all aspects from procedures to documentations, safety protocols, and quality control as well as mass balance calculation. Securing the perfect score means that Estiko Packaging Solution not only met but exceeded the criteria, allowing the company to supply packaging made from both renewable raw materials and chemically recycled plastic waste within EU markets, supporting the transition to circular economy.
In addition to sustainable films, Estiko Packaging Solutions can now also provide packaging, such as doybags and stand-up pouches under the ISCC Plus licensing scheme. This expansion not only aligns with the commitment to sustainability but also addresses the growing demand in the market for environmentally responsible packaging options, reinforcing company’s position as a reliable partner in sustainable packaging.
The ISO 9001 standard is an international quality management system standard, providing specific requirements that enhance company’s ability to consistently deliver products and services that meet customer demands. Estiko Packaging Solutions has held the quality certification since 2004. This year’s recertification audit was conducted by DNV, who highlighted the company’s consistent efforts to reduce climate impact and CO2 footprint.
